There are LOTS of SVGs out there but honestly folks, all SVGS are not created equal. I have always taught my Cricut students ways to eliminate the hurdles that challenge you as you craft.

I want to help you have unique titles for your layouts but also cut well in Design Space.

A Slice of Summer is an SVG that demonstrates exactly what I am talking about. Many watermelon themed svgs will have you placing the seeds one at a time.

Here is how my Simple Title goes together. Let's start with the embellishment. Ungroup and you will find the base layer that works like the back of a kids puzzle and helps you put this embellishment together as a placement guide.

Now let's look at the watermelon pieces.

So much easier to put together. Yes, my SimpleTitles are tested in Design Space and created for Cricut users.

Remember when I asked if I could make my layered titles (aka embellies)without using Design Space?? Or said ok no Cricut for the summer? Well I have my answer. Yes you CAN but WHY?? Why would you!!?? lol Nope nope I am Cricut to the core! My friends, I wrestle with this Cricut Obsession. Maybe I can't eat potato chips as much as I used but .... I can sure have my Design Space.

It feels like trying to create with one hand tied behind my back when I stick with just dies and punches. I was really trying but you can tell when I try to create without Cricut ...I get really quiet and stuck!

When I first saw the preview of new 2024-2025 Stampin' Up! In Colors,  I will be honest, I thought they were "too bright" kind of 80's neon style. But I got them in my hot lil hands, and wow I changed my mind!

Peach Pie, Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink, Shy Shamrock, Summer Splash are bright yes but in just the right amount. So fresh and springy!

This simple card is a great way to show this off.

I started with my cutting guide and here is what I used to create this card.

Card Base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 of Thick Basic White

3 strips of Designer Series Paper 5 x 1 1/4 spaced on cardstock

Wrap ribbon around securing on back with glue dots. Tie small piece to create tiny bow

Add to card front

Stamp on Basic White with Momento Ink and punch

Add to front of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
