Parts of a Scrapbook Layout

With or Without a Cricut!

I am a huge Cricut fan and have been "Cricuting" for years. I know many of you here because you love Cricut too! But over the years, many Cricut fans have moved away from paper and are all about t shirts and vinyl. I like those projects too but

I AM ALL PAPER

and love Simple Scrapbooking and a sprinkling of cards too!

I want to talk about where I "need" a Cricut & how I can scrapbook without my Cricut. Sometimes less technology is more relaxing.

  1. Simple SVGs are a combination of photo mats and layout sketch and NEED A CRICUT but you can use the Simple as your guide and use a trimmer to cut photo mats

  2. Titles are so much easier to cut and NEED A CRICUT but you can use alphabet dies and cut your letters to build a title or find a title on a CTMH sticker Sheet

  3. Journaling long stories are easier with Cricut doing the printing. I NEED A CRICUT or use your printer and add that to your layout.

  4. Borders created and welded together NEED A CRICUT unless you use a zip strip cut from your CTMH paper

  5. Journaling tags NEED A CRICUT or can be cut with die

  6. Print then Cut Embellishments are terrific and NEED A CRICUT or you can use the CTMH sticker sheet or fussy cut your images printed on white cardstock

  7. Layering backgrounds do not need a Cricut ever

  8. Stamping and inking layers do not need a Cricut ever

  9. Ribbons and bows are wonderful additions to frilly layouts and do not need a Cricut ever

  10. Flips Flaps are my favorite and never need a Cricut.

So a Cricut can be a tool but if you don't have one or enjoy using it, don't let that stop you from following along and come scrapbook simple with us!
