From these 3 HUGE Closets

TO

My new craft storage space! Yes downsizing was a huge decision! I had to make some choices but I am still a Cricut Paper Crafter, teacher and Scrapbook SVG designer. I wanted to take you along on this journey.
After my husband and I decided we were ready to slow down a bit and find an easier path, I had to figure out what my crafting would look like. Over the years I have focused on many different crafts from sewing folk art bunnies, designing and sewing my children's clothing, quilting.... lots of fabric! But I transitioned to paper crafts about 12 years ago. I added lots and lots of paper, stamps, ink and of course CRICUTS! I had 4 different ones in those white craft cabinets, two Makers, a Joy and the newest member, my Joy Xtra. As I looked at the fireplace cabinet that I planned to use as my craft center, I decided the Joy Xtra would fit perfectly. In fact, 8 1/2x11 was a good size for this cabinet. I had been dipping my toe in sticker making lately and this all seemed to make sense. JOY XTRA was going to become an "only child" aka Cricut.
I sorted lots of lots of stamps, inks, papers and more. I found great homes, donating much to our local schools and our Sunday school classroom. My Stampin' Up! supplies were packaged and sold on Mercari and I packed my scrapbooks into one tote that is in the new storage shed. The plan is to take photos of these layouts and upload to my icloud. (ok ok we shall see when I actually do that!)
But now my 12x12 Simple SVGs may not be as easy to cut on an 8 1/2 x 11! My stickers are perfect for this new Cricut Xtra. The past 3 months I have been designing Simple SVGs but I have been super busy packing, moving, staging our home to sell aaaaaand selling! We closed on our home last week and now its time to settle in and figure out what our new normal looks like. Stay tuned as I share my journey!
