We often struggle with borders in Design Space as the largest we can cut with a Cricut is 11.49 x 11.49 and our layout is 12x12. But adding a border to a Simple SVG makes the 11.49" work out just right. Simples are always 11.49 x 11.49 and the border is perfectly sized.
