Well each one is a little different but there are some basics that are a part of all Simple SVG Layouts!
Each one starts with a Simple SVG uploaded into Design Space™. All Simple SVGs are shadow-layered which makes sure our photos are double matted.
And they of course have a 12x12 base paper.
You can layer pattern paper to add more background detail, and add your stickers and embellishments to make this your own.
Journaling that answers the questions:

what
when
where
and of course ... why! Don't stress, or agonize about this part! Keep it simple yet please please be sure you do it. I bet you are sure you will always remember that day, remember the faces ... remember it all! But a few years from now, those details will start to fade. Yes it has happened to all of us!
So what do you journal on? I recommend that you journal on a shape that you will add to your layout, rather than directly on the layout. You can always do over if you make a slight boo boo.
