and many of you may wonder why do you have to? No one is telling me what to so but I am changing and I want a simpler business focus that allows me to still have my paper crafting business but in a slower more relaxed pace.

I have wavered between Stampin' Up! and Close to My Heart several times over the past few years (ya ya I bet you have noticed!) I love sharing family memories in scrapbooks and CTMH is the best for that. I am a matchy matchy girl and I love that everything goes together so well. BUT, I really had my roots in Stampin' Up! It is where more of my friends were and I loved the Stampin' Up! tools, stamps and inks. So many have been so sad about CTMH closing their doors but selfishly I am so happy to have both of my loves combined now. Stampin' Up! has picked up the fantastic CTMH Scrapbook Workshops and will add scrapbook themed stamp sets and even the two toned cardstock from CTMH that I love. All of this comes at a time that we are changing our lifestyle to spending my summers in our camper at the lake. I have been trying to leave my Cricut behind and paper craft in a less techy way. It is all falling into place for me and I am feeling so relieved and excited about the summer crafting.

I decided to just follow the workshop instructions step by step and see if I could help you do the same. They do appear complicated but I think if we walk thru them together, we will love the way our layouts look!

Let's take a peek at a Workshop

Step by step following the detailed cutting guide

and then starting to put together Layout 1

I was wrong. In the past my Cricut-y brain looked at the CTMH cutting guide and thought oh no, too much for me. I could just use my Cricut. Well I could but lately I am looking for something a lil less techy. Join me as we teach old dogs (ME) some new tricks!

The Enjoy the Ride Scrapbook Workshop was very limited and only available to previous CTMH customers and is now sold out. This month Lake Life Scrapbook Workshop is in my store but again limited to CTMH customers but these scrapbook workshops coming soon ... to all. I decided I needed to give them a try and boy I was wrong. They are really fantastic and help you create beautiful layouts is a comfy cozy way.

You can actually hear the "ahh haaa" in voice as I start to realize how wrong I was!

As promised, here I follow the step by step cutting guide.

I am hooked and can't believe it took me this long to actually try these!

This took about 25 minutes to cut all the pieces for these 3 double page layouts!

When I first saw the preview of new 2024-2025 Stampin' Up! In Colors,  I will be honest, I thought they were "too bright" kind of 80's neon style. But I got them in my hot lil hands, and wow I changed my mind!

Peach Pie, Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink, Shy Shamrock, Summer Splash are bright yes but in just the right amount. So fresh and springy!

This simple card is a great way to show this off.

I started with my cutting guide and here is what I used to create this card.

Card Base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 of Thick Basic White

3 strips of Designer Series Paper 5 x 1 1/4 spaced on cardstock

Wrap ribbon around securing on back with glue dots. Tie small piece to create tiny bow

Add to card front

Stamp on Basic White with Momento Ink and punch

Add to front of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
