Welcome to My Simple Sketch, my signature go-to layout for creating simple, elegant handmade cards with confidence. In today’s video, I’m sharing the full sketch and cutting guide for My Simple Sketch and showing you how to create a complete card making kit using coordinating papers and cardstock. This structured layout makes it easy to mix and match supplies while keeping your designs balanced and beautiful. Even though we’re not assembling the final cards in this video, you’ll walk away with a ready-to-use card kit that makes crafting simple and stress-free.

Supplies used (including Stampin’ Up! products) are listed below.

It has been a long time since I shared a card with you and it really feels good to color with you again. Hugs, Cara

I was excited to share this fun stamp set with you. It is a full page stamp set Fair Flowers that will be available in March. I know you are looking at my card front thinking ... that isn't a full page! No I had a 3" stitched shape circle that I stamped the flowers on.

Check it out here:

Here is what I used:

This is something I do. It matters to me. And it fits my life.
This is something I do. It matters to me. And it fits my life.

A couple of years ago, I made a big decision.

I convinced myself that if I fully retired from my online paper crafting business — closed the classroom, stepped away from Stampin’ Up!, sold and donated every last stamp and ink pad — that I’d finally feel settled.

I wasn’t unhappy. I just wasn’t quite me.

Turns out, it wasn’t the business I needed to let go of. It was the pressure.

What I’ve missed isn’t rankings or awards.I’ve missed creating. I’ve missed chatting while I stamp. I’ve missed my people.

So I’m easing back in — slowly, simply, and with a very different heart.

No chasing. No proving. Just paper, ink, and connection.

If you’d enjoy sitting at the craft table with me from time to time, I’d love the company.
