Rainy day Tuesday

Wait, the song is about a rainy Monday... still feels the same. I wish I was home with a good book or movie on the couch. But I am here at the real job instead! I am planning the DEsign Studio class in my head and so looking forward to the creating of projects and layouts using this powerful software! Check out www.mycreativeclassroom.com for enrollment info.
What if you do not own this software yet? Well Provo Craft offers a free trial of the software! And unlike some other free versions...you can actually USE this one. You can design with any of the cartridges but you can only cut with George or Plantin Schoolbook. If you decide that you like this (trust me you will LOVE IT!) you can activate the software and then you can cut with any cartridge that you have plugged in to your Cricut.
If this is new to you, I suggest that you try it...sign up for the online class, download the free trial version and see what you think. You will only spend $25.00 for the class and I bet you will find your Cricut can do sooooo much more than you ever thought possible. No I do not work for Cricut...I just love it!

Yikes...reading what students say about my classes

I find it really important to read the survey results for my classes and I am always interested to imcorporate suggestions. But, I usually do not get the results from these surveys until long after the class is over. Immediate feedback for online classes is refreshing and actually much more useful. Changes can be made right now and improvements put into place.
For example, during my first online Cricut class I was putting my presentations in the classroom as printable files and thought that was what students could take with them as a "handout" but each slide was a full page so it made the handout many pages long and ink gobblers! So I added a quick print file too. Now students can choose which version they need. If this was a class in real life, the changes could be made the next time I offered the class but these students were out of luck. Not so with an online class. Poooof... changes made ... students and teacher happy!
So when the end of class survey went up in the classroom I wasn't sure what to expect and I wasn't sure I would share it with you! But here I am telling you what they thought:
-Enjoy Cara Miller, always have, and will take more of her classes.
-thoroughly enjoyed this course as I was totally new to the cricut.
-Thanks Cara for giving such detailed descriptions for each section and pictures
as well!
-I liked the instructor and like that there are videos as well as a printed version.
-The instructor, Cara, was wonderfully responsive and very helpful. She provided
printable instructions for downloading, which was fabulous. I really enjoyed
this course (my first MCC course) and found it a very positive experience. I'm
so glad to have gotten to know my Cricut and look forward to many more layouts
with it.
-Thanks Cara and MCC!

So far so good! Glad to have so many happy students. No...I did not post only the good ones but maybe the unhappy ones just did not complete survey. But, I am thrilled that this first of many Cricut classes ended on such a positive note.

I am Cricut Crazy lately!

My Cricut classes have kept me hopping lately! I am excited to announce the opening of my Design Studio class today at My Creative Classroom The Original Cricut Class is winding down and the Expression class is just getting ready to start the project section of the course now that we have explored all the cool modes and features of our Cricuts. These classes have to be my favorite and I am absolutely loving the online classroom. My students are able to try out a lesson at their convenience and yet ask any questions they might have anytime. I am available by email at any time and students can easily reach me. I am thrilled to be adding more Cricut class options this summer as well as some upcoming Quickutz Silhouette intro classes. So fun! Summer School was never like this!
